OK, I know this is weird, but maybe someone can help. I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with lights and wireless remote. Occasionally, the circuit breaker that the fan is on will trip (because of an overload with other appliances). After I reset the breaker, the ceiling fan and lights are dead. Neither the remote, nor the pull chains will work. Sometimes, days or weeks later, the fan and lights will begin working spontaneously. Sometimes, they will resume working after I trip the circuit breaker off and on a few times. What is happening? Is there an internal breaker in the fan? Please help.

The resetting of the breaker is causing a power surge that fries the receiver. Replace the receiver, and stop tripping breakers.

i wrap my fans and blades in plastic or cloth, go to Home Depot and buy the already cut plywood and build wood boxes, which cost about $40-$50 to build each. Each stores 10-12 sets of fans and blades. It's better than plastic and card board boxes, the plastic boxes break and the card board boxes rip and bend..
The cons with the wood boxes i make, is they are heavy, and the fans have to be taken out of each box to move, but at least now i don't have to worry about the boxes breaking and the fans getting scratched up.. I'll have to post pictures
