OK, I know this is weird, but maybe someone can help. I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan with lights and wireless remote. Occasionally, the circuit breaker that the fan is on will trip (because of an overload with other appliances). After I reset the breaker, the ceiling fan and lights are dead. Neither the remote, nor the pull chains will work. Sometimes, days or weeks later, the fan and lights will begin working spontaneously. Sometimes, they will resume working after I trip the circuit breaker off and on a few times. What is happening? Is there an internal breaker in the fan? Please help.

The resetting of the breaker is causing a power surge that fries the receiver. Replace the receiver, and stop tripping breakers.
