and still have a remote controller near my bed? I once had a remote controlled fan that was controlled by the light switch, but could also be controlled by it's own remote control. When you flipped the light switch on, the fan and lights returned to whatever setting was last used before the light switch was turned off. I recently bought a new Hunter fan, and installed it with an accessory remote reciever by Hunter. But when the light switch is turned off, and then later back on, both the lights and the fan are off, and you have to find the remote to turn the lights on. This is just not acceptable. I need to be able to walk into a darkened room and turn on the light with the light switch. The remote should just be something I use to turn it on and off from my bed. Is there a remote that will give me that capablity? I have three new Hunter fans in boxes, but I'll have to return them if I can't find the needed work-around.
