Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ Replacing fabric barrier in Moss ceiling fan
Lorraine Posted on 9/13/2010 10:58:32 AM
I would like to replace the fabric barrier inside a working Moss ceiling fan. (It is between the motor compartment and the perforated brass housing.) My problems include: I don't know what to call this material, and I don't know where to find more, short of purchasing another fan and removing the fabric. If it is not replaceable, can this filter material be washed? Would that remove any flame retardant properties the material might have had? Could I reassemble the fan without the screening?

Thanks for any help!
