| Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ 3 speed switch | ||||||

| I have a harbor breeze ceiling fan for about 10 years and its in pretty good condition the only problem it had was the 3 speed switch. the chain snapped off to short that there was no way of me fixing it so i had to replace it with a new switch the only problem is that i forgot in what order the wires go. it has a ORANGE, PURPLE, YELLOW AND BROWN WIRE. and i attached the wire to the switch in this order 1-yellow, 2-purple, 3-brown, L-orange the light fixture goes on but the fan dosent spin at all. am not sure if that is the correct way of the connections if not can you please help me out here. the ceiling i have is a HARBOR BREEZE MODEL # M52-5B/4L. I Honestly cannot afford to buy another fan i would really appreciate any kind of help you can offer. thank you. | ||||||
