Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ How to Disarm Remote Control Ceiling Fan

I can not find any answers to disarm my remote control ceiling fan. I only want to operate the ceiling fan from the wall switch. Bought at Sears 4 years ago and love the light and fan, but now want to control from the wall and not the remote control anymore. Please tell how to Disarm my remote control.

Thanks,
BL

Does the fan have pullchains?

What buttons does the wall switch have?

I have pull chain for the lights and fan.
Have a wall switch for the light and the fan.

Open the fan at the ceiling, remove the receiver, wire the fan without it.

I will give it a shot and remote the wire I see sticking out of the fan housing.
Thanks,
BL

You have to remove the receiver. You will be disconnecting 3 wires from the fan, and 2 from the ceiling, plus grounds.
