Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ Casablanca Stealth Blade Surround Scrapes Against Light Assembly

We have a Casablanca Stealth (3245T) fan, and recently what appears to be the blade surround (interior color is black) scrapes against the plate holding the halogen light in place. This was fixed several years ago, but is happening again. The fan was purchased in July, 2002. What is loose and how can it be fixed? Does it require major disassembly?

It sounds like the flywheel has slipped down the shaft. If you can access the flywheel you will want to loosen the set screw with an allen key, position the flywheel correctly, and then retighten the set screw.
