Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ hampton bay

I am now on boycott of hampton bay products. I used to have good luck replacing fans in my appartments and home. I bought one this weedend to install out on my patio deck. I go to put the blades on and the screw heads turn out to be security star pattern heads. That is a pretty rare screwdriver head, and if not for my years of experience installing cable I would not have the screwdriver head to match up. For this they just hit my list of companies I will never deal with again.

to me it sounds like the screws were stripped, you can correct this by going to a hardware store, and get new screws the same size as the old ones ( take the old screws with you to the store)

I would never buy a Hampton Bay fan.
