Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ Hampton Bay fan light stays at brightest setting Pat95672 Posted on 3/10/2010 2:39:47 PM While replacing the bulb - (and having a heck of a time getting the shade off) a did something wrong and got a bright spark from the area of the bulb. I installed the new bulb and found that it is only on at the brightest setting - the remote will not dim it. Did I break the rheostat? Is this part available seperately? I called one of the numbers you provided, thanks, and they told me they need a model number - they told me the model number was on top of the fan. I looked. It isn't. Any suggestions?
