| I have a Hampton Bay fan and light remote kit, Model 838 956. The fan control works fine but the lights will not turn on. I put the original remote kit back in and everything worked fine. Put the new one back and still no lights. Old one back in and all works. Is this a possible broken receiver? Any advice on possible fix before I return it? | ||||||

| I have read that you cannot use cfl's, but the ones i have ARE dimmable. I have also tried incandescent lights and nothing works with the new remote | ||||||

| Either it's defective or you are wiring it wrong. | ||||||
