I have a Hampton Bay fan with a remote that controls the light as well as the fan (approximately one year old). The fan has been a mystery from almost the first day! The fan comes on and goes off at will. Now, the light can be controlled with the remote, but the fan will NOT come on. I have changed the battery and it does not correct the problem. I know others have posted similar problems.....so I have to assume that it's a remote issue and that I probably will have to replace it.....the fan is in a room that has about a 25 foot ceiling...and is NOT easy to access. I want to try every possible solution before I hire an electrician to come. Any help is appreciated!

First, try changing the frequency of the fan and remote. Instructions are on our site. If that doesnt solve the problem, report back.
