Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ One speed only (fast speed)

After replacing the pull chain switch in my ceiling fan because it only had one speed I continue with the same problem. Someone suggested to replace the capacitor but this fan doesn't look like it has a capacitor but a metal transformer. This fan is about 20 years old and it has stained glass lighting above the blades. My question is- Can I replace the transformer with a capacitor without blowing the motor?

theoretically, yes, but how would you know what value of capacitor?

What make is the fan?

The main problem is not knowing who makes this ceiling fan. I search all over the fan trying to find the maker. The only information I found is model # FC-3052, Number 430547, E377665 0.8 amps. Home depot and Lowes couldn't help with that information. I think the maker is craftmade. I'll try to contact them today.
