Hi folks:
I have a large Emerson ceiling fan on my screen porch. The fan is about three years old. Recently I've started hearing more and more noise from the fan. The noise doesn't start until the fan has been running for about half an hour, so I don't think it's because the blades are out of balance. The noise was occurring only on high speed, but recently it's started happening to some extent on the medium speed as well, provided the fan has been running for a long time. The noise is kind of a vibration/humming noise.
Due to the fact that the noise doesn't start until after the fan has been running for a while, I'm kind of thinking that the noise has its origins in the motor, and is somehow triggered once the unit gets warm from running for a while. Is there anything that needs to be done regarding lubrication? I thought that all modern fans were sealed, but I'm not absolutely certain of that. Also, since the fan is outdoors and I live in southern Ohio where it's warm and humid all summer, I'm also wondering if the humidity has somehow caused this problem.
Suggestions welcome.

are there any screws loose, a loose screw can cause the noise problem,

What model is the fan? These fans arent supposed to take oil but sometimes they need it. It being used outdoors can accelerate some issues if it's not an outdoor or heavy duty fan.
Checking for loose screws/parts is a good idea.
