Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ Outer housing rotating along with the blades

I have just installed the Hampton Bay Farmington 52" and after a short while of running, the housing starts to rotate as well as the blades. Is this normal or is there something I need to do to stop this?

is the downrod firmly seated in the bracket inside of the canopy, i noticed sometimes this happens with my fan and i just nudge the downrod back into the seat and it stops

This isnt normal. Check to be sure the downrod, ball, socket, and housing are all securely mounted.
