Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ All speeds not working with new switch

I replaced a fan switch with an identical switch. On the bottom it says Jin You (E70469). I actually have 5 wires! Gray-1, Brown-2, Green-3, and 2 black wires, both of which go to one (because there are 2 terminals on the switch under each location). I am absolutely positive I inserted the wires in the exact location they were on the original switch. Now medium does not work! I only have low and high speed. A couple of years ago I replaced the same switch on a different fan and I no longer have meium speed on that fan either! They are both Hunter fans. What in the world? Any ideas?

I doubt it is an identical switch. Order the correct replacement switch from http://www.hunterfan.com or http://www.ceilingfanparts.com
