| Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ 10 year old Kenmore fan and 4-speed remote w/auto temperature control | ||||||

| The fan and remote still work. Fan has 3-speed pull cord which works. The problem: remote no longer controls fan at low-low speed and Off (4 speeds are high/medium/low and lowlow. In addition, fan hums loudly and speed increases at LL and Off settings. Remote still controls at H, M and L. Same problem occurs when set to auto. Fan speed adjusts with temperature increase/reduce but fan produces noise and speed increase at LL and Off. I have replaced batteries, resetting code, etc. to no avail. Not sure if problem is remote or fan or both. Cannot locate model no. Any suggestions? | ||||||

| update to the previous post: fan is not a kenmore; remote is. fan is Designer's Choice. still no model no. all other info same. | ||||||

| Try removing the remote receiver and wiring the fan without it, see if the fan works from the pullchain | ||||||
