I have a Hampton Bay fan with a wall remote, with buttons for light, fan off, power off, low, med, high, and reverse. After trying to reverse the rotation the fan has stopped working entirely and now I just here a hum and feel a slight vibration. If I spin the fan manually the humming gets louder. The light still works. The red LED comes on when I try and start the fan.
The fan has worked fine for several years but recently I had been noticing a louder hum than normal. Any ideas? Thanks! |
