| We have a 12 year old fan, manufacturer unknown. (It came with the new house.) The pull chain broke, so following the instructions on the site, I took out the old one, found one at Home Depot exactly like it (L-1-2-3) and wired it back as the old one was wired. However, the fan now only operates on high and low, but not medium. I assume this is an issue with the 2 wire, but I can't get the fan to operate at medium even after taking that wire out, putting it back in, and even cutting the end off and putting a a newly exposed end into the opening. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Thanks. | ||||||
