The fan/light went off on its own and I was able to turn it back on with the remote. Then the remote died and I replaced the batteries. Now the fan is on, and will not respond to the remote. The remote works because I can change the code and control another Hampton Bay fan/light with it. I tried several different codes, but cannot get the fan/light to work with the remote.
What do I try next? Is it a sensor issue and can that be replaced? Thanks.

First try changing the code on the fan and then match the remote to the new code.
Probably needs a new receiver though.
Does it have pullchains?
