I have a three speed fan with a reverse switch. It's always worked fine. Sometime in the middle of the night, however, it stopped working properly. Here's what happens:
FAST - Runs at medium-ish. MEDIUM - Runs at medium. SLOW - The fan reverses direction. The same thing happens when you flip the reverse switch. Any ideas? |

| Either a bad capacitor or a bad connection at the reverse switch. | ||||||
