| I have a Sierra 5 blade fan with lights that has a broken flywheel. In order to get the flywheel off, I need to pull the wiring harness out. I have already removed the light kit and taken the motor down from the ceiling. How do I access the wiring harness inside the motor housing so that it can be pulled out? | ||||||

| it's easier to remove the pins from the white moulded connector. MAKE NOTE OF WHERE THEY GO. | ||||||

| Thanks for the reply. I tried to pull the wires out of the connector block but they would not come out. Do I need to apply just a strong pull or is a special tool needed to cause a "barb" to retract? | ||||||

If you jsut yank them you will likely rip the wires. There's a way to get the metal piece out too, I've done it before, but I dont remember what it is! I didnt have a special tool. I also know on some fans you can maneuver the switch housing and flywheel off without removing the plug. |
