Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ Fan won't turn off, but light will.

My Hampton Bay fan w/light doen't have a pull string. It has a remote to control the fan & light settings. There is a single wall switch that works both the light & fan. The remote stopped working. When I turn on the wall switch, the light comes on BUT THE FAN RUNS ON HIGH SPEED ONLY. I would like to fix the fan since I love the way it looks, or at least disconnect the fan and use only the light for now.

Does the LED still light on the remote? Have you tried different dip switch settings? Make sure the remote dip switches match the fan.
If all else fails you will need a new receiver.

Yes, the LED still lights on the remote and the dip switch settings match. I guess I need a new receiver...thanks for your reply.
