Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan Problem

We have lived in our home for a year and a couple of months already the fan came with the house so I don't know how long it has been here. My problem is that my remote is not working, I have changed the battery and still nothing. I have located the dip switch on the remote though not on the unit. I don't know where to look for it on the unit. Can someone please help me. My fan is a Hampton Bay 52 In. Redington IV Quick Install in Brushed Steel with no pull strings.

I am not sure where they are in that unit either. Check the usual places-- switch housing, on top of the motor, and the canopy.

Does it have pullchains?

I am having a similar problem. I have already replaced the capacitor in the fan, the bulb and the batteries in the remote. It works fine if all I need is the fan to work but no light. I took the thing down and was going to replace the remote with one I bought at Lows and found that the original is built in. Once you take the fan apart you will find the switches on top of the receiver itself. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement remote receiver model number UC7058R for Hampton Bay fan? Man what a pain in the butt this fan has been. It’s a nice looking fan when it works though.

Contact Hampton Bay for that part, their number is in our sticky.
