Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ Converting Hampton Bay remote fan/light

After removing a melted, burned out remote unit, I've decided to run a second switched line to operate the fan from a wall speed control. The receiver is located in the light fixture housing. I've identified the line hot and neutral but do not know the color coding to determine the light and fan load wires. On top of that, I cannot locate the model number of the fan. If it helps, the receiver part number is UC7051R. Can you help?

Does the fan have pullchains?

No, it was built to operate with the remote sensor..no reverse...no fan speed, etc. I'm trying to locate which load wire from the sensor connector feed high speed CW on the fan motor.

If I had a schematic, I could figure it out, but, as I mentioned in my original post, I do not.

Unfortunately these fans use PSC motors and the capacitor is wired into the remote receiver circuit, so the motor will not run without the receiver unit. Trying to wire it without it is very complicated.

That's what I feared...thank you very much for your help though!

I would just replace the receiver, or replace the whole fan.
