This is a Hunter fan that is several years old.
It is controlled by a two-wire, wall-mounted remote. Lately, when turning on the light (high position only) the lights flicker. They do not flicker in either of the other two settings and all of the fan speeds work fine. Any suggestions.
Thanks in advance

I would first rule out loose bulbs and loose connections. Check all of that.
Does the fan have pullchains?

Bulbs and connections are all o.k.
The only setting affected is the "high" setting for the light. That's where the flickering occurs. I suspect that the remote receiver might have gone bad.
The fan does have pull chains

Try wiring the fan without the receiver and see.

Rewired around the remote--the fan and the lights work perfectly using the chain controls. The remote receiver is identified as a Hunter model 26491-A and the wall unit has no model no. so I'm guessing that they came as a set. I've checked around but nobody I have contacted has this unit. Is there possibly a universal replacement?
