Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ It was working... then stopped.
Author Messages Date Posted
KabawL I installed a Hunter fan with a remote and everything was fine. Running great at a low speed with the light dimmed. I plugged in my laptop power cord into a wall outlet in the same room as the fan and the fans light flickered and it went from dim to as bright as it can go. I found that weird and walked over to the wall switch that controls the fan and turned it off and on again.

This time, the fan's blades move, the lights flicker, and I hear a electrical noise. I quickly turned it off.

Some help would be appreciated. Brand new house, new fan, and I have no clue what the problem is. My mom said something about the wall switch.

morrisma Could be interference from the computer. Most remotes have changeable codes on the transmitter and receiver. Make sure you change both. 10/17/2008
