| My fan Has a three speed switch, we leave it in the number 2 switch position. The other night while it was running the fan number 2 position switched to the number 3 position so now i have one very low speed and two very high speeds no middle speed. I then changed the switch but it still dose the same thing....any suggestions?? could it be the little black box in the light kit that the switch connects to?? | ||||||

| I assume that the little black box is the remote receiver. If so, that could be the problem but I'd check the remote's batteries too. | ||||||

| no the little black box is where the four wires come from before they get to the 3 speed switch in the light kit...then the fifth wire (grey) goes to the fan motor i think.....my fan dosen't have a remote....it has two black boxes, one a little smaller than that one for the light switch as well i think...??? | ||||||

| Black box is the capacitor and I suspect it is the problem. | ||||||
