| Ceiling Fan Help \ Ceiling Fan Problems \ fan doesnt work anymore | ||||||

Hi
A neighbor needed my help with her ceiling fan she bought them on walmart a few month ago now the fan wont work only the light work on both the thing is that the chain got stuck on both and when i check inside i saw a small black box burned so i told her to buy the parts the chain swith and the black burned box so anyway she bought the parts and i install them and still doesn't work i can only feel a small vibration coming from the motor in one speed only and it does not move at all even if you move it with your hand please help what can i do one more thing the capacitor that's the name is the same only one color change it has two wires on one side and a single one on the other side(red) |

| WalMart sells Aloha Breeze fans which are horrible. Put the original pullchain and black box back in and return the fan to WalMart and get your money back. Buy a Hunter. | ||||||

yeah i guess i would probably do that and go to home depot buy a pretty looking one |

| Be careful. Home Depot's house brand is Hampton Bay which is almost as bad as Aloha Breeze. Not nearly as bad, but almost. Hunter is much better and in the same price range. | ||||||

| home depot does not have bad fans, and i know this by experience, i have a hampton bay courtney that when i installed it, i dropped the fan on the floor from 9 feet and it still runs perfect and there is no dents on the motor housing | ||||||
