I have the harbor breeze fan with light and remote control. It began with the remote control being very difficult to work and at times would require multiple clicks to get anything off or on. We left the fan on and turned off the light went we laid down for bed, when we woke the fan was off and we could no longer get the fan or light to turn on. We replaced the battery in the remote and the power switch on the wall has power. Is there a fuse in the fan that may have blown? Could this be a problem with the remote switch? It seems if the motor went out, we woul still get a light, but currently nothing. Any suggestions?

Does the LED on the remote still light when you attempt to control the fan?
Try changing the frequency of the fan and remote as per the instructions posted on our site. If that doesnt work you likely need a new receiver.

We are having a similar problem after a major power outage. The light on the remote lights up but neither fan or lights will come on. How do we reset the dip switches in the fan itself, if that is what we need to do?

After a power outage, chances are the receiver got fried and will need to be replaced.
One of the many reasons I dont like remote fans.
